Easter Games
1. Bunny Hop Relay
Equipment: Pool noodles, bunny ears (optional), and cones or markers.
How to Play: Swimmers “hop” through the water using pool noodles as their “bunny tails.”
They race to complete a course or relay while maintaining their bunny hop motion.
Benefits: Builds stamina and coordination while incorporating imaginative play.
2. Egg Hunt Dive
- Equipment: Plastic Easter eggs (waterproof and weighted to sink slightly) and a basket or bucket.
- How to Play: Scatter eggs around the pool, some floating and others slightly submerged. Swimmers collect the eggs and place them in a basket. To add variety, assign point values or colors to eggs for a competitive twist.
- Benefits: Encourages swimming and diving techniques while adding an element of problem-solving.
3. Carrot Toss
- Equipment: Floating carrots (or orange foam shapes) and floating hoops.
- How to Play: Swimmers toss the “carrots” into floating hoops to “feed the Easter bunny.”
Adjust the hoop’s distance for different skill levels.
- Benefits: Develops hand-eye coordination and precision.
4. Golden Egg Rescue
- Equipment: A golden egg (special plastic egg) and floating toys or obstacles.
- How to Play: Swimmers navigate around obstacles to retrieve the golden egg. You can make it a race or a team challenge to bring the egg to a safe spot.
- Benefits: Promotes water confidence, teamwork, and agility.
